SSWSC U10 and U12 athletes competed at Eldora for RMD Age Class SL and GS races where all RMD Colorado race clubs were present.

SSWSC U14 Alpine Athletes traveled to Aspen and Vail last week for the Junior Championship qualifiers. It was a total team effort that led to SSWSC qualifying 16 U14 athletes for the Rocky/Central Junior Championships next week in Winter Park, March 5-9, 2024.

Six athletes from the U17 Team Steam headed to Telluride over the weekend to take on the Southwest Classic. Beautiful, jagged peaks and blue skies met the athletes as they bumped down Hermit, pushing their speed and jumps. With two singles competitions and one duals competition on the line, there was much opportunity for securing hardware.

Cooper Malia earns two gold medals in the slalom races and Thomas Halberg takes home one silver and one bronze in giant slalom and two silver medals in slalom. Malia earns silver at Freeride Comp in Crested Butte and Riley McNew is fourth.

Sixteen athletes qualify for the United States Cross Country junior Nationals in Lake Placid, NY, March 11-16, 2024
