Enduro Competition Team (ages 13-18)
Enduro Competition Team trains at a higher level and focuses on regional competitions. These athletes are focused on training to achieve their personal best in the Enduro competition circuit. Training will be a blend of cross country fitness, pump track, strength training, and bike park trails. Training is designed to develop mobility, strength, and power to build skills and become a more confident dynamic racer. Includes coaching at selected races, additional team travel fees, and entry fees apply. Athletes will learn the importance of stewardship and fundamental trail maintenance while working on designated trail work days.
Minimum ability requirements: Solid mountain bike/bike park experience and desire for physical and mental challenge.
Minimum equipment requirements: Full Suspension All Mountain Enduro Bike, 27.5 or 29in wheels (140mil or greater suspension on front and 130 mil back). Downhill bikes are not allowed for races. Dropper post highly recommended. Full face helmet & XC helmet, chest protector, knee pads, eye protection – goggles or sunglasses, full-finger gloves, clipless pedals or flats, flat tire kit/tool kit and tube. Trestle Bike Park pass recommended.
Additional Cost: Competition fees, travel fees, bike park passes. Van fees to Granby Ranch, Winter Park or Summit county are $50/trip/athlete.
DATES AND TIMES:
Early Season: May 2-June 4
- Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, 4-6 p.m. (mix of bike and gym)
Regular Season: June 6-August 11
- Monday, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. (downhill)
- Tuesday and Thursday, 7:30-10:30 a.m. (bike) and 1-2 p.m. (strength)
- Friday: Bike Park Days - Granby Ranch, Trestle, Keystone. 9 a.m.-4 p.m. for out-of-town days (SSWSC Van Travel will be available for a cost.) Steamboat Bike Park schedule TBD.
