SSWSC athlete Virginia (Gigi) Boyd captured her career-first boardercross NorAm win at the first race in the Hole Shot Tour at Gore Mountain, NY. SSWSC alumni Kendall Harrington joined Gigi on the podium, finishing 3rd for a stellar start to the season for the Winter Sports Club Snowboardcross Program.

U.S. Alpine Ski Team Member and SSWSC athlete Roman Elvidge won the Western Region Elite Alpine Race Series giant slalom race on Monday, February 19, on Snow King Mountain in Jackson, Wyoming. Teammate Ian Haupt was also on the podium in 3rd place. On Tuesday, February 20, Ian Haupt was on the podium again for the giant slalom in 2nd place, and teammate Colin Kagan was 3rd.

Athletes Mckenzie Maines, Piper Mouttet, Ethan Maines, Austin Johnson, Nico Bowdre, Everett Baldwin, Fritz Gamber, Kaden Graham, and Miles Warnke will compete in the events from February 27 to March 2 in Anchorage, Alaska.

Three athletes from two snowboard programs competed in the USASA Gromfest Slopestyle competition at Winter Park on Sunday, February 19. Athletes Trevon Shoemaker, Summit Lynch, and Madden Matuga all showed up and gave their best effort immediately following a competition day at our home mountain at Howelsen Hill.

Seventeen athletes from Devo Team and Boardriderz raced in the slalom and giant slalom Races at Howelsen Hill on Saturday, February 17. Athletes could choose to compete in one to four races. Five Boardriderz athletes competed for the first time alongside their Devo Team role models; three took home medals!
