Snowboard Athlete Cooper Malia Secures Invitation to IFSA Freeride Championship
Cooper Malia was the only SSWSC athlete to represent the SSWSC at the IFSA Freeride Junior National Competition, which was held at Snowbird, UT, from February 29 to March 3.

Cooper advanced to the boy’s snowboard finals only to have them canceled due to the recent storms. Based on his qualifying run, Cooper ended up in 3rd place and secured an invitation to the upcoming IFSA Freeride Junior Championship.

The 2024 Freeride Junior Championship will be hosted in the Rocky Mountain Region for the very first time, making its debut at Breckenridge, Colorado, April 7-14. Gathering over 370 elite ski and snowboard junior athletes from across the North and South America, this event is set to be the world’s largest freeride showcase.
