The U16 alpine team headed to Winter Park over the weekend from December 20 to 22 for the first races of their season. The team competed in one giant slalom event and two slaloms. The conditions were fantastic, and the course sets were challenging. The athletes were excited to get their season underway and utilize this opportunity to measure up all their hard work these last few months. The results showed that their hard work has paid off, with the SSWSC team walking away with two wins, a third place, and nine top-15 finishes. The next race series will be in January in Aspen, and the team will spend the next few weeks honing their tactics and technical skills as they look forward to more races.
The Murphy Roberts Holiday Classic moved over to Howelsen Hill Friday, December 20, for two days of exciting slalom ski racing, with the iconic night slalom on Friday night under the lights! SSWSC alum and current athletes Tatum Grosidier, Logan Grosdidier, and Jeremy Nolting all posted top performances on the last two days of the race series. And Adrian Beauregard, Abby Olson, and Owen Wither ski to top finishes up on the podium in the U18 categories.
Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club hosted the first Rocky Mountain Nordic Junior National Qualifier of the season at Howelsen Hill on Friday, December 20, and Saturday, December 21, 2024. Athletes showcased their strength in the Rocky Mountain Division with U20, U18, U16, and younger podiums in both men’s and women’s races. Over 250 athletes raced during the weekend, from collegiate athletes to as young as U10. Friday’s race was a classic ski interval start, and Saturday was a freestyle skate mass start.

The weather and course conditions were perfect for both days of racing at Steamboat Ski Resort; the energy was high, and the course was fast. SSWSC alumnae Tatum Grosdidier and SSWSC athlete Jeremy Nolting post stellar results in the hometown races.
TeamSteam sent seven freestyle moguls athletes, Anabel Ayad, Mia Satkiewizc, Reise Wilson, Liam Siefken, Peyton Billeisen, Shane Mariano, and Beck Ward to U.S. Selections at Winter Park last weekend, December 13-15, 2024 to compete against the top mogul athletes from around the country for World Cup and Junior World Championships starts.
