The SSWSC Moguls Team competed in the first NorAm of the season hosted by Deer Valley February 5-8, 2024. Mother Nature ensured that the course would be soft, pummeling the famed Champion mogul course daily. With huge bumps and even bigger jumps, the athletes negotiated the steep course like the pros.
SSWSC cross country team continues to dominate the Rocky Mountain Nordic Junior National Qualifier (JNQ) races. Athletes competed in the Ski and Snowboard Club Vail JNQ races in Minturn, CO, on February 9-10, 2024, and Tig Loomis, Sawyer Landers, and Langdon Devin, won back-to-back races.
Six athletes across three snowboard programs headed to Copper Mountain on Sunday, February 11, 2024, to compete in the first halfpipe competition in the region this season. Senior Team's Zoe Gerke was competing in USASA for the first time, and she took advantage of the opportunity to show her tricks and amplitude in the halfpipe.
Snowboard Senior Team athletes traveled to Copper Mountain to compete in three days of boardcross racing. Cooper Malia and Bode Wellstone battled it out all weekend, trading the top two spots on the podium Saturday and Sunday.
Freestyle moguls girls swept the podium on February 4 at the Rocky Mountain Freestyle Moguls Devo competition at Aspen Highlands. In what proved to be a challenging course, the SSWSC Devo athletes persevered and walked away with many lessons as well as podium results.
