Snowboard Athletes Compete in USASA Copper Slopestyle
Eighteen SSWSC Snowboard athletes competed in USASA Slopestyle at Copper Mountain this weekend. We had ten from the Devo Team, three from Junior Team, and five from the Senior Team. Slopestyle is a series of rails and jump features, and athletes get two chances down the same run. Riders are scored on the difficulty and execution of tricks as well as the amplitude on each individual feature. Of these athletes, four were competing in slopestyle for the first time ever. The camaraderie and sportsmanship were unmatched. We also had athletes and families from all three programs join us for a team dinner and session at the Woodward Barn for some skateboarding and trampolines.
