Devo U12 Team Shows Up at IFSA Junior Freeride Championships
On April 8 and 9, the U12 big mountain skiers and snowboarders showed up for the IFSA Junior Freeride Championships in Breckenridge. Hotshot male skiers included Winston Witten, Jackson Kormer, Kai Riegler, Theo Givnish, and Anderson Agopian. Ebby Hill, Mathilda Spaustat, and Liza Stone brought the girl power. Summit Lynch was the lone U12 snowboarder but packed plenty of punch.
Qualifying day brought nerves, high-fives, and an eclipse. The competition was fierce! U12s from across the country put on a show and proved they are better skiers and riders than their parents!
Summit stomped his run and moved into the finals. Kai and Anderson styled their way into finals for the skiers. All of the skiers showed up and stayed on their feet. Everyone had a strong run, with airtime and powerful turns. The skiers brought heart, determination, and teamwork. Regardless of the outcomes, these kids had fun and supported each other 100%!
On finals day, Teamboat showed up! Whether dropping or cheering, this group of competitors was out to make some noise! Summit had a clean line and finished 4th. Kai finished 18, thanks to great air and strong turns. Anderson gave it his all, but the mountain won, and the skis came off and ended in 21st. He will be back, they all will. 2024-2025 season, watch out!
