The Steamboat High School MTB Team had a great final North conference race in Nathrop, CO this past weekend. The course was beautiful with the Collegiate peaks as a backdrop and the golden aspens glowing. Athletes used their power on this course that had less climbing than the past races. The single track wove between cactus, sand and rocks on the top of a mesa and then followed the river back to the start. The day ended with 3 category wins; Emi Cooper – Freshman girls, Cam Owens – Freshman boys and Ethan Moyer – Varsity boys. Both Emi and Ethan will wear the Leaders jersey into the State Championships.
We had 20 athletes qualify for State Championships in Eagle, CO October 21-22. The team will continue to train hard even during the variable Steamboat fall weather and we are hoping for a good showing a State champs.

Hi All,
The High Performance team arrived in Zermatt, but unfortunately were greeted with 3 days of bad weather in which they couldn’t ski. (High winds on the glacier (up to 130km/h). But that didn’t stop them from making the most of this beautiful location!
