Snowboarding
Our snowboarders did so well this weekend! We had the Rail Jam at Howelsen Saturday (Mar 3) and Halfpipe at Mt Werner yesterday (Mar 4). Saturday was beautiful and sunny. The kids battled the heat while riding rails in their t-shirts on our home hill. Yesterday we were lucky to be tucked in Bashor Bowl, away from the wind, and finished up the contest just as the storm started rolling in. Everyone got at least one run in the Sun. This is our last contest until Nationals, that will take place in Copper first week of April. The next few weeks will be spent training and gearing up to put down they runs they’ve been working towards all year. Erik Gunderson and myself were the snowboard coaches up there with a lot of help from our program director Tori Koski and the freeski crew.
