The U15 Mogul Skiers have had a busy month with competitions in Vail, A-Basin and this past week-end, Champs in Winter Park. The Steamboat athletes skied their hearts out and not only skied to their potential but earned the results they were looking for! New tricks were thrown, 360s were everywhere and more direct lines were achieved in the moguls. The coaches are so proud of their efforts, energy and achievements this season.
Season Highlights:
Ava Rose winning Duals at Champs
Katie Mclaughlin KILLING it in duals and ending up with a season’s best 3rd place finish
Birthday Girl Leah Sullivan laying down run after run and earning her season’s best, 4th place in duals
Norah Pietras ending the season with her first top 10 finish after putting down a tight, beautiful run, complete with a huge double twister
Freddie Mickell ending the Champs week-end with a 2nd place in duals and 5th place in singles
Kaelyn Radway proving her abilities over and over at week-end training and keeping the rest of the team on their toes
Izzy Powell going HUGE on her jumps in singles and narrowly missing out on advancing in duals
Anabel Ayad winning the last two competitions, including Champs, with the highest scores of the day on both runs
Ella Walker shredding with winning runs in two competitions
Bridger Carlton getting more consistent with his tight skiing and snappy double twisters
Lila Boniface gaining more confidence than ever and ending just out of the ribbons with two 11th place finishes
Gwyn Jamison pushing her limits with double daffys
The athletes are looking forward to moving up to the next level with the Copper Spring Cool Down, April 6-7.
