Cross Country
Though skiing is an individual sport, a strong harmonious team can increase the athletic level of all the team members. No where is this phenomenon more apparent, than at a training camp, where the team must work in unison to accomplish the many day to day goals set before them. The SSWSC U16/18/20 XC Team made it’s annual June pilgrimage to Bend, Oregon for on snow time and to reap the many other training opportunities found in this Central Oregon community. The team has worked together to log high volume training and to live side by side for ten days in relative harmony. This positive experience could only happen by the efforts of each athlete on the trip. As once said, “the sum is greater than the parts”.
