Skateboarding

This week our Skate camps got underway - what an exciting way to start summer!! The beginner group has been learning the foundation of how to skate.  By the end of the first week everyone was rolling into the skate park like an experienced skater, eager to learn what the coaches have lined out for these young skaters.

The intermediate group kicked off summer with a few tricks already up their sleeves, so we started them off learning how to progress a few tricks like the kick flip and rock and rolls…all smiles with these two groups.

The “It’s a Girl Thing” crew had the biggest turnout we’ve seen so far, and what a fun bunch this group is to watch progress.  Some girls are learning to skate for the first time while others are working on getting warmed up for the summer with more advanced tricks such as the drop in and rock-to-fakie.

All group are stoked to be at skate camp learning to skate and find out that skateboarding has a great community with lots of positive feedback.  All Smiles for miles!
