U16 Alpine Team Takes Home Three Podium Finishes in Super-G in Breckenridge
The SSWSC U16 alpine traveled to Breckenridge for two Sync super-g Races and two giant slalom races this past Tuesday and Wednesday, January 3 and 4, 2024. The super-g races were fantastic, and the athletes had a lot of fun racing down the Cimarron race trail. The athletes displayed real grit, racing hard and fast in the cold weather. The team helped support each other by taking each other’s clothes down for their race runs and cheering each other on. Unfortunately, the GS races were forced to be canceled due to too much heavy snow that fell overnight.

The Steamboat U16s earned three podiums in the two super-g races, with Rewani Shrestha placing second in the first race and Bella Fisher finishing in third place in both races.
