Nordic Combined

The Nordic Combined program didn’t waste any time kicking off the summer season!  They cranked out the first week of training and then hopped in a van and drove to Park City, UT for a visit at the USSA Center Of Excellence.  While there, the athletes received technique training from US Ski Team coaches Dave Jarrett and Martin Bayer.  They also had an amazing opportunity to test their VO2 Max and Lactate Threshold. These values set specific parameters that the athletes will use in their training.  They also give coaches a good idea of what type of training each athlete could benefit from the most.  The tests were performed by USSA’s world-renowned physiologist Dr. Jim Stray-Gundersen.  Thanks to everyone at USSA for this awesome learning experience!!
