Snowboard All-Mountain Program (AMP), grades 8-12

Snowboard All-Mountain Program (AMP) (grades 8-12, ages 12-18)

Snowboard All-Mountain Program (AMP) is designed for snowboarders who want to continue improving their riding skills all over the mountain without a competition focus. This group focuses on the social aspect of the sport and camaraderie across disciplines. Athletes will work on skill development across the entire mountain, including the terrain parks, halfpipe, big mountain, and backcountry education.

Requirements
  • Skill requirement: Ability to comfortably link turns on blue terrain and a desire to develop their riding ability.
  • Equipment: Participants need snowboard equipment and a helmet. An all-terrain board is recommended.
  • Passes: Full IKON pass and Howelsen Hill Pass required.
  • High School Schedule: No special SSHS schedule needed.
  • Age: 12-18 (AGE GROUP GUIDELINES)

December 4 – March 15
Wednesday, Howelsen Hill 4:15-6:30 p.m.
Thursday, 5:30-7:30 p.m. at Steamboat Resort (starting January 4)
Saturday, 9 a.m.-2 p.m. at Steamboat Resort
(No Training December 23-30 or February 22-24)

Halfpipe clinics will be offered on Sundays, noon-2 p.m., once the Bashor halfpipe is built and open to the public. No additional cost is required.

2024-2025 Program Fee

2024-2025 Program Fee: $2,500 plus $300 refundable work deposit

  • Payment Plan: SSWSC offers multiple payment options for summer, winter, and year-round program fees. Credit cards, eCheck (ACH bank transfer), cash, and checks are all accepted. We also offer a payment plan option. Find more information HERE.

  • Work Deposit Program: SSWSC requires a work deposit for each family. During the registration process, the program fee listed includes the work deposit. Families can earn back the work deposit by volunteering for SSWSC or opt out of volunteering and donate the work deposit to SSWSC. Find more information on the Work Deposit Program HERE.

  • Ride the SSWSC Bus: SSWSC offers after-school bus transportation from Steamboat Springs public schools to Howelsen Hill for SSWSC elementary and middle school athletes, 1st through 8th grades, on their scheduled training days.
