Freestyle

U17/U19
Riley Hodges, Kenzie Radway, Charlie Mickel, and Zander Tatar-Brown enjoyed training at Loveland last Sunday. It was freestyle Moguls U17/19 first day on snow. The conditions were quite excellent for this time of year, with more snow falling during the day while we were there!

U15
The U15 mogul skiers are combining their strength with quickness and balance skills in anticipation of opening day. With over half of the Team participating in club and middle school sports,  the last few weeks of dryland have been all about honing mogul specific movements and positions.  Spirits are high and the Team is looking forward to quick turns and big airs!

Freeskiing

Along with all of our physical preparation for the season, the Freeskiing program has been working on developing the creative side of the sport as well.  We have spend some time in the last few months making use of the new Video Capabilities of the locker room to work on film making and the creative outlet that our sport offers.

On a topic called Film Grammar, or the elements of film making and preparation, such as story structure, the turning points of the story, and story boarding.  Photographic and film shot composition, framing staging, lighting, in any edit can help connect the viewer to the imagery that they are seeing.

Here is a shot of the team working!

Youth Development

The All Mountain Program is making use of the extended fall weather to work on balance and enjoy a nice warm-up hike for Dryland Training!

Snowboard

The Junior Ability team took a hike on Thursday night as part of their Dryland Training, and were rewarded with a spectacular sunset!
