Alpine
Nearly forty alpine skiers took part in a ski camp at Mt. Hood, Oregon. For eight days they experienced near perfect weather on the Palmer Snowfield which, in a good snow year, can be skied year-round. For the first time, families made the trip with the athletes, as with current COVID regulations athletes were not able to travel or lodge with the team. The athletes made some great progress, and the coaches were very pleased with the example SSWSC set on the hill with is adherence to strict mask-wearing protocols and physical distancing, while still having fun, working hard and having a memorable camp. A big thank you goes out to the parents that made the trip out and shuttled their athletes out of the clouds to the sunny snowfield early every morning!
