Snowboarding
The Alpine Snowboard Team continued to see success this past weekend at Alpine Ski Club in Collingwood Ontario. Cody Winters came home with a 2nd, and 1st in the Nor-am parallel slalom and also a win in the FIS race on Sunday. Also reaching the podiums from the Winter Sports Club were Will Taylor and Everett McEwan (two 4ths) at Holiday Valley PGS and Nate True in the FIS race at Alpine.
Cody Winters won the FIS race on Sunday by throwing it backwards (switch) to make a gate close to the finish. As a former freestyle rider he has an amazing agility and he has successfully made the move before: in Steamboat he did it to celebrate his victory- crossing the line backwards, but he also used the move in Buck Hill this year. it has become his trademark now and part of his amazing skill set.
