Snowboarding
Snowboardcross athletes were excited to compete in the first and only FIS SBX race in Colorado this year! Athletes saw great results after a season of training with timers rather than heats, and they were excited the committee was able to pull an event off with Heat racing (everyone was able to race together in heats on the same course, opposed to single time trials).

Freeskiing
The SSWSC Freeskiing Big Mountain Athletes attended the Rocky Mountain Freeride Series Regional Champs at Breckenridge March 31/April 1st. This was an invite only event for big mountain athletes in the Rocky Mountain region. On the first day of the 12-14 athletes were treated to an amazing venue with features galore and plenty of new snow. Gage Adrian skied a very technical line with a stunning wall ride feature to a 16th place. Darian Squires had a fun and fast line through some technical drops for a 34th place finish. Ellie Reynolds and Ivy Ladrow both had very impressive lines into an awesome chute but crashed on their final cliffs drops.
On the second day the 15-18 athletes were in the same venue with extra terrain open to them. August Menetre skied a fast and flown line topping it off with very stylish 360 that left everyone very stoked. August got SSWSC’s highest place for the comp at 14th. SSWSC had seven athletes invited to the event, however two did not attend.
