Freeskiing

The SSWSC Freeskiing Team just finished its final event of the season the USASA National Championships.  The team ski very well this year, through classic Colorado Spring Weather.

Payton McElhiney show incredible mental strength after hitting the deck of the pipe and bouncing to the bottom of the 22ft pipe in his second qualifying run.  He was in obvious pain as he dropped in for his finals training run.  Payton then focused, ignored the pain and put down two great finals runs, just missing the podium.
SSWSC Freeskiing athletes Liam Baxter, Riley Jacobs, and Payton McElhiney impressed the US Freeskiing Coaches and earned spots in the US Freeskiing Project Gold Camp in Mammoth the first week in May.
This wraps up a great season of hard work from the entire SSWSC Freeskiing Crew.
