Arthur Tirone and Ella Wilson Land on Top of the Nordic Combined Podium on Both Days of Winter Start
On Saturday, December 7 and Sunday, December 8 the best U16 and older ski jumping and Nordic combined athletes in North America competed in the first event of the 2024-2025 season, hosted by Rocky Mountain Division (RMD) and Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club. This competition on Saturday was is the U.S. Cup opener and the first of two Junior World Championship Team tryouts. Steamboat athletes dominated with strong podium places on both days. Arthur Tirone was first in the Nordic combined event on Saturday and Sunday, and placed 2nd in the jump competition on Saturday and 3rd on Sunday. Ella Wilson and Haley Brabec went 1st and 2nd both days in the Nordic combined event and were 2nd and 3rd in the ski jump competition on Saturday. On Sunday, Ella Wilson also won the ski jumping competition.
