SSWSC Alumni Cael McCarthy Wins Aspen Halfpipe NorAm
SSWSC Alumni Cael McCarthy took the win in the final halfpipe NorAm of the season in Aspen on March 20, 2024. The win in Aspen led Cael to take the overall NorAm Cup, earning him a World Cup spot next year for all events. Cael skied in three World Cups this year, with his best finish in Mammoth, where he qualified for finals and finished 13th. He is one of just a few athletes at this level who still compete in two disciplines—slopestyle and halfpipe. His top slopestyle finishes in NorAm competitions this season were 15th and 17th. Cael currently skis for the Cork Tech Freeski team.
