That’s a wrap on the Spring Series in Winter Park! The men’s and women’s alpine teams were in Winter Park, Sunday, March 31 - Wednesday, April 3, for the annual Spring Series, including two giant slalom and two slalom races. The competition was steep, with many college athletes from the University of Colorado and the University of Denver jumping into the races. Highlights include SSWSC alumnus Trey Seymour’s (DU) win on Sunday, Kat Cosby’s GS win on Monday and 2nd place slalom on Tuesday, multiple U18 podiums, and overall top 10s. The women’s team celebrated teammate Kahlen White’s last race. AND Owen Wither made the flip!
We also say goodbye to SSWSC alumni Chase (University of Colorado) and Trey Seymour (University of Denver) as they graduate from college and NCAA skiing and move on to their next adventure! We will miss you on the skiing circuit! Good luck to Ian Haupt and Kat Cosby, and the SSWSC alumni traveling to the NorAm finals in Panorama.
