(Ages 7-9) -NEW!
A summer program designed to develop physically literate children ages 7-9 through a fun and active introduction to activities that involve the core physical movements of running, jumping, throwing, kicking, catching, skating, and swimming. Studies have found that children who have ability and confidence in all of these movement skills are more likely to continue to be physically active through their adolescence and into adulthood. Children who participate in multiple sport activities are less likely to sustain injuries in sport than their counterparts who specialize in one sport at an early age. This program helps to provide the foundation that a child needs to enjoy and be successful in any sport, be it skiing or snowboarding; or soccer, tennis, lacrosse, mountain biking, volleyball, hockey, whatever their favorite sport is.
DATES AND TIMES:
Tuesdays, 11:00am-12:30pm, June 20-August 15 (no session July 4), or
Wednesdays, 1:00-2:30pm, June 21-August 16 (no session July 5)
