Nordic Combined

The 2016/2017 season is in the books and five of our J/NC athletes put up results that turned the heads of the U.S. Ski Team.  Two athletes (Grant Andrews and Annika Belshaw) have been nominated for the U.S. Development Team while three others (Elijah Vargas, Decker Dean and Brenden Andrews) have been nominated for the Junior National Team.  All five athletes qualified for the Junior World Championships and posted numerous impressive results throughout the season.  Grant Andrews has already graduated high school and moved to Park City, UT where he will continue training with the Park City Nordic Ski Club. The other four will call SSWSC home for the next few years but will be involved in a number of training camps and competitions with the U.S. Ski Team.  They will have direct contact with USST coaches and be mentored by older athletes over the next year.  This is an amazing opportunity for all of these athletes and we’re so pumped to see how far they go!

Congratulations to our awesome athletes!!
