News from the water ramp
At the beginning of the day Coach Rob was quoted “ he will either pass, or Fail” – You guessed it Luke passed his Back Full qualification on water. Great work Luke!
As this is the last week before the big Australia trip for the Nor-Am team we would like to wish them all safe travel and great training. Coach Rob and Coach Mike will be leading this trip to train with world cup athletes in the land down under – keep them Fuzzy Side-Up Boys!!
Sorry about all the lightning and rain on Wednesday, I don’t know who ordered it for the Bike-to-Ramp programs last day. I think the waiter got the tickets mixed up. – Please join up for another day of jumping with better weather!!
Please remember that this week on Friday and Saturday the Lake is hosting a Water Ski Tournament. -We will have an altered schedule - Friday (Aug.6th) we will be able to train both Sessions but from 3pm-6pm we will only be able to Tramp, no jumping into the H2O. Saturday (Aug.7th) we will ONLY be able to use the Trampolines. So on Saturday if you are coming to training you do not need your ramping equipment. 3pm-6pm the ramps will be closed on Aug. 7th.

We are happy to welcome a new coach this year Mike Amato. Mike has spent a num
ber of years coaching in the Rocky Division and will be working with all the athletes at the ramps and with the Noram Athletes during the winter. If you have not met him yet come out to the ramps and introduce yourself to him. He has also pick up the job of head griller for the coaching staff at the ramps.
The Big Splash Award goes to Hannah Kearney who took the first jump of the year on June 5th. You might remember her from winning that shiny gold medal for the 2010 Olympics.
Reed Snyderman tried to steal it today by making his first jump a triple back tuck but came up a hair short.
Travis Crooke is running the Bike and Ramp Program on Wednesdays and during the first day after making it to the ramps had great success with all the athletes starting up some tricks in to the water. Travis has said that he is going to jump with the kids this year and we are going to hold him to it!
The older athletes are welcoming back a professional long board crash artist who doubles as a coach with the younger athletes – “who is that Bandit”
Rob Day is leading by example of riding his bike to the ramps each day (and not his motorcycle). This way he is all warmed up and ready to coach on time. The coaching staff is hoping that this idea will be catching on shortly.
